Long Branch Free Public Library is dedicated to providing its community with the resources and support it needs to flourish. As part of our endless community support, we have in place a professional Social Worker who works within our Library.


What We Do
The Social Work office at the Long Branch Free Public Library has a mission to help both the community as a whole and individuals of the community. Our goals are to provide resources, expand awareness and education, and build a diverse inclusive environment within the community.

Fresh Start
Fade to Books
Latino Fest/Black History Month
Fresh Start is a re-entry program we offer to individuals transitioning back into our community upon release from prison.
Fade to Books is a barbershop literacy program that started as a pilot program here in Long Branch and is now a state wide program with 10 municipalities and 50 barbershops throughout New Jersey, as well as one Beauty Salon here in Long Branch.
Latino Fest and our Black History Month celebration are yearly events held to celebrate the rich culture of our community and promote an inclusive community here in Long Branch.
